Duke Energy invites Clark and Floyd county customers to meet with customer service representatives

‘Pop-up’ Clarksville office an opportunity to meet with representatives in person

Customers can ask billing questions, learn about using the new smart meters, and get information on energy efficiency programs

PLAINFIELD, IND. - Duke Energy is inviting customers in the Clark and Floyd county areas to talk face-to-face with customer service representatives about their billing and account questions. It’s also an opportunity for customers to learn how to take advantage of features available on smart meters and get information on energy efficiency programs.

The representatives will be at Duke Energy’s Clarksville operations center, 1212 Eastern Blvd., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 14 and 15. Representatives will be equipped to handle the same types of requests as the company’s call center, including credit card payments.

Customers will be served on a first-come, first-served basis and should bring a driver’s license or other valid identification as well as a recent Duke Energy bill. Representatives will discuss account information only with customers whose name or names are listed on the account.

“We usually talk with our customers over the phone, but we know that sometimes it’s helpful to meet in person to go over billing questions,” said Lisa Huber, Duke Energy’s government and community relations manager in Clarksville. “We also are installing smart meters in the area, and there are features customers can learn more about, such as monitoring daily usage. We’ll have a representative available who can show customers how to access the data.”
