New Albany, Ind. (December 5, 2016) – Through the coordination of One Southern Indiana (1si), representatives of W.M. Kelley Company, Inc., will appear in front of the New Albany City Council this evening to request personal and real property tax abatements for a proposed expansion of their facility at 620 Durgee Road in New Albany, Ind. W.M. Kelley Company, Inc., is a hometown company established in New Albany in 1971. The company currently specializes in material handling equipment, conveyor systems and custom metal manufacturing for customers nationwide and internationally. Should the New Albany Council approve the tax-abatement request, W.M. Kelley Company, Inc., plans to add 14,000 square feet to its current facility. In addition, the company plans to invest over $850,000 in new production and technology equipment. The proposed expansion/retention project represents a capital investment of approximately $1.87 million and will create 14 new full-time positions. This is in addition to the 69 jobs that will be retained for a total annual payroll of more than $3.8 million. “W.M. This flexible training program will provide partial reimbursement for a wide variety of training costs.
