Job Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Staff Therapist provides individual, group, couple and family therapy. Participates as a clinical staff team member, participates in staffing and clinical team meetings, performs necessary administrative tasks, and helps market the Agency’s services. The Staff Therapist maintains an attitude/manner consistent with the mission statement of the Agency.
EXPECTATIONS:
Counseling
Maintain the number of clinical hours as contracted
Represent the standards and practices of counseling in accordance with the Agency’s mission statement
Maintain clinical records in accordance with professional and Agency guidelines
Work with the administrative staff/supervisor/billing to resolve client and collection issues
Clinical Staff Participation
Work cooperatively with staff colleagues, consultants and referring professionals
Actively participate in clinical staff meetings and case consultations when possible
Attend administrative staff meetings, staff retreats, certification/licensure reviews and team building activities
Agency Administration and Development
Participate in the development of the Agency’s community relations and referral network
Required to collect client payments in absence of receptionist & write/print receipt
Perform administrative and development tasks as assigned
Participate in and support Agency fundraising functions and public relations initiatives
Experience Required:
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or equivalent from an accredited college or university
Clinical training and experience appropriate to the requirements of the position
Licensure in the State of Indiana, preferred
Personal liability insurance
