Ogle Foundation Elects Stemler as Director, Taps Medley for Associate Director Position

OGLE FOUNDATION ELECTS STEMLER AS DIRECTOR, TAPS MEDLEY FOR ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR POSITION.


Kent Lanum, President and CEO of the Ogle Foundation in Jeffersonville, Indiana has announced that Steven Stemler, a life-long resident of Jeffersonville, was unanimously elected to serve as a director on the Board of Directors of the Ogle Foundation by its members this past month. At that same meeting, the Foundation Board also nominated and elected Diane Medley to fill the now-vacant Associate Director position for a new three- year term beginning January 1, 2019.

Stemler, who has been serving in an Associate Director position for the past four years, replaced Willis Charles, one of the original founding members who, along with Paul Ogle, helped start the Foundation back in 1979. Mr. Charles died in May 2018. Steve Stemler is currently the President and owner of The Stemler Corporation, located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and has served on many corporate and nonprofit community boards over the years. After serving for 12 years, he recently completed his last term as an Indiana State Representative for the 71st District in Southern Indiana’s Clark County.

Stemler attended Indiana University Southeast and Ivy Tech Community College earning
the required course work to obtain his Indiana and Kentucky Masters Plumbing contractor’s license. He is a graduate of the Leadership Southern Indiana organization.

Diane Medley is a managing partner and co-founder of MCM CPA’s and Advisors and has been active in public accounting since 1981. Under Medley’s leadership, MCM has been recognized as one of the largest CPA firms in the region with over 400 employees across seven locations, including offices in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky; Indianapolis and Jeffersonville, Indiana; and Cincinnati, Ohio. Today the firm is listed as the 79th largest professional and financial services firm in the United States.

Medley attended the University of Louisville and was named Alumna Fellow of the Year in 2015 and currently serves on several boards including Brinley-Hardy, Hardin Memorial Health Foundation, both Kentucky and Indiana Chambers of Commerce and One Southern Indiana.

Medley has also served as Chair of the University of Louisville Foundation, the University of Louisville Board of Trustees, and is a former Chair of Greater Louisville, Inc.

The Ogle Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of Paul Ogle to give back to the community that helped him by strategically funding nonprofit organizations, activities and projects that directly improve the lives of the citizens in Southern Indiana.
