14th Annual Rock the Rocks – MARGARITA-VILLE On The Rocks A Benefit for the Falls of the Ohio

Clarksville, IN --The Falls of the Ohio Foundation announces its 14th annual Rock the Rocks fundraising event scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 6-10 pm at the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center, Clarksville, Indiana. Proceeds will benefit the Foundation’s educational mission.

“We are excited about this year’s event theme: MARGARITA-VILLE On The Rocks!” proclaims Bill Reedy, The Falls of the Ohio Foundation President. “Guests will enjoy the “MARGARITA-VILLE state of mind” alongside the magnificent fossil beds.”

In keeping with this year’s theme, the event will feature live music by Jamey Aebersold Jazz from 6-7 pm, followed by Pawnshop Guitar from 7-10 pm, dinner by Terri Lynn’s Catering, bourbon tasting by Jim Beam Brands Company, handcrafted beers from Flat 12 and wine tasting from Old 502 Winery. There will be a silent auction, a guided fossil bed stroll, and bird watching from the deck. The dress is “MARGARITA-VILLE” themed or casual.

The Falls of the Ohio State Park Interpretive Center is open Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 1-5pm.

Admission fees are $9 Adults (age 12 and above), $7 Children (ages 5-11), and free for children under 5.

 

The mission of The Falls of the Ohio Foundation is to raise funds and support in order to preserve and interpret the scientific, historical, and cultural heritage of the Falls of the Ohio and to promote educational initiatives for a better understanding of this unique natural resource.
