An Evening of Art in the Park

St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities is hosting a new event called “An Evening of Art in the Park” on Thursday, June 28 at 6:30 pm at Holy Trinity Heritage Park located at 702 E Market Street in New Albany.

Since the grand opening in September of 2017, Holy Trinity Heritage Park has brought renewed curb appeal to the 700 block of E. Market in New Albany.  From a water feature with bronze sculpture to refurbished original stained glass windows that survived the Holy Trinity fire in 1975 to the colorful dove piece created by St. Elizabeth's staff, there is much to see in this beautiful, green space. An anonymous donor recently commissioned the latest addition to the park, an Indiana limestone sculpture by artist William Kolok titled "Flee".

Anyone interested in learning about the vision of the future artwork to be featured in the park is invited to attend this event. Area artists, including Kolok, will be on hand to display their art and answer questions. We invite you to come and learn more about opportunities to support art in our community and add to the landscape at Holy Trinity Heritage Park.

Artists: If you are an artist interested in displaying at this event, email Mark Casper at mcasper@stecharities.org with your contact information and photo of your work. Keep in mind, we are hoping to limit this event to family-friendly pieces, suitable for outdoor display that can withstand the elements. No concept art, photography, or jewelry will be accepted.

Art Lovers: Some of the pieces on display will be on loan to St. Elizabeth and some will be for sale, with a portion of proceeds donated to the agency.
