Senior Manager at Rodefer Moss Named in “20 People To Know in Accounting”

New Albany, IN: Nicole York, Senior Manager at Rodefer Moss was recently named in Louisville Business First’s 20 People To Know In Accounting. Nicole joined Rodefer Moss, a three-state accounting firm, in 2006 after graduating with a B.S. in accounting from Indiana University. In 2008 she received the highest score on the CPA exam in Indiana on her first attempt. Over the years she sharpened her accounting and management skills and in 2014 was tapped to manage the firm’s Corydon, IN office.

York has seen many changes in the accounting industry over the years. Most of those changes come from government regulations and new and expiring tax laws. She says, "Keeping on top of the ever-changing rules and regulations from both a tax and a financial reporting standpoint is one of our greatest challenges."

Nicole played a vital role in the implementation process of the current training program for interns at Rodefer Moss. "The firm benefits from having them in so many ways and it’s our responsibility to make our office an environment setup for success, letting them gain as much knowledge and experience as possible. Interns assist in many things throughout the busy tax season at the firm but the training is just as important as their work. Streamlining the training process has taken a burden off of our team and has improved our entire office’s efficiency."

As a Senior Manager at Rodefer Moss, Nicole provides her expertise to business owners and individual clients, in managing and planning their tax liabilities and helping them navigate current tax law.
