New Albany, Ind. - (January 4, 2018) – One Southern Indiana (1si), the local economic development organization and chamber for Clark and Floyd counties, released its signature event annual calendar today, highlighting the best attended events produced by the organization.

Kye's II | Dates and locations have not yet been confirmed for the organization’s annual business expo or for the MMA National Manufacturing Day Celebration events. In order to stay relevant, the business expo, which is the longest running event hosted by 1si, is going through some updating, and the committee is still determining the space needed for the format. However, 1si staff anticipate the event will occur in the fall of 2018.
The MMA National Manufacturing Day Celebration depends heavily on the schedule of the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress Plus (ISTEP+) as the event revolves around student tours of regional manufacturing facilities. This is also anticipated to take place in the fall of 2018.
Currently, the organization is studying the feasibility of hosting another FOCUS Career and Job Fair in 2018. The first FOCUS was held in September of 2017. This year, 1si is considering a partnership with an organization who already performs this function in the community. Should the partnership come to fruition, the new date will be announced.
The organization’s best-known monthly program, the 5 O’clock Network, will continue to be held on the third Thursday of the month in various locations. For a full calendar of events and programming from 1si, visit the organization’s website at www.1si.org. | |
About One Southern Indiana:
One Southern Indiana (1si) was formed in July of 2006 as the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development organization serving Clark and Floyd Counties. 1si’s mission is to provide the connections, resources and services that help businesses innovate and thrive in the Southern Indiana/Louisville metro area.
