KROGER TO BREAK GROUND FOR NEW JEFFERSONVILLE MARKETPLACE STORE

 Will create 100 new jobs for the area

 

Jeffersonville, IN. (August 29, 2017) – Kroger and Nicklies Development will host a ceremonial groundbreaking at 3733 East 10th Street in Jeffersonville on Thursday, August 31st at 1:00 p.m.

The new 133,000 square foot Marketplace store will include everything you have come to expect from Kroger and much more. Specialty departments will include Apparel, Home Décor, Bed and Bath items, Kitchen Place, Office and School Supplies, Toy Department, Baby World, The Bistro, Salad Bar, Fresh Sushi, Beverage Bar, Floral Shop, Natural Foods, a drive-thru Pharmacy, and Starbucks. The store will also offer an In-Store Healthcare Clinic and a Fuel Station.

Kroger is planning to hire 100 additional associates to staff the new store, which is expected to open in the summer of 2018. "We are so excited about this new store becoming a reality, our customers in Jeffersonville deserve the best and that is what we plan to deliver," said Erin Grant, Kroger spokesperson.

Numerous dignitaries will be on hand to speak including the City of Jeffersonville Mayor, Mike Moore, Kroger Division President, Ann Reed, Kroger Real Estate Manager, Todd Metzmeier, and Developer, David Nicklies.
