TARC will adjust schedules effective Sun., June 4, on several routes, in most cases to more accurately reflect bus arrival times at stops based on traffic and other conditions. Changes include an extension of the Main-Market all-electric ZeroBus route one block east to Wenzel Street in response to community requests. The route will continue to travel in a loop, west on Main Street and east on Market Street, between Campbell and Wenzel streets. All ZeroBus rides are free.
Passengers are advised to check schedules and plan trips accordingly before June 4. Detailed schedules, maps and links reflecting changes will be available at www.ridetarc.org.
In addition to the Main-Market ZeroBus route, two other routes will have minor routing changes:
Rt. #18 – Preston-Dixie Hwy. – Buses will continue to travel the loop at the end of the line at Dixie Garden on routing that took effect Mar. 27. Stops have been added on Dixie Hwy at Floradora, and on Bethany Lane and Dixie Garden at Dixie Hwy. Eastbound buses will continue to stop on Dixie Hwy at Dixie Gardens in front of Kroger. There will be time changes of 1-3 minutes on afternoon weekday trips.
Rt. #50X – Dixie Express – End of the line loop routing, same as Rt. #18 noted above.
Other schedule adjustments and changes will occur on the following routes, also effective June 4:
Rt. #6 – Sixth St. – Two weekday trips to Master Brand Cabinets will change and minor time adjustments will occur in the weekday schedule. Trips to Master Brand Cabinets will arrive at 3:30 p.m. instead of 2:58 p.m. and at 4:30 p.m. instead of 4:04 p.m.
Rt. #12 – Twelfth St. – Weekend morning times at stops will be scheduled for 10 minutes later.
Rt. #15 – Market St. – Saturday times will be adjusted to be identical to the Sunday schedule.
Rt. #17X – Bardstown Rd. Express – The three morning trips will arrive downtown 15 minutes earlier. All arrival times at stops on Bardstown Road will remain the same.
Rt. #21 – Chestnut St. – Saturday times will be adjusted to be identical to the Sunday schedule.
Rt. #71 – Jeffersonville-Louisville-New Albany – One eastbound and two westbound trips on Saturday and Sunday established for peak holiday season will no longer operate to River Ridge. These trips will operate to Meijer in Jeffersonville. Weekend trips to Amazon/River Ridge will arrive at 6:40 a.m., 7:10 a.m., and 5:46 p.m. As a result, the weekend schedule has minor 1-3 minutes time adjustments.
Rt. #78X – Bluegrass Downtown Express – The 4:10 p.m. evening trip will be adjusted to leave downtown 4:15 p.m. The last three morning trips will leave Southeast Christian Park 10 minutes later: 7:44 a.m. will leave at 7:54 a.m.; 8:24 AM will leave at 8:34 a.m. and 8:59 a.m. will leave at 9:09 a.m. Arrival times to downtown do not change.
