Managed I.T. services provider adds “virtual CIO” to business consultation offerings
Lexington, Ky. (March 9, 2017)—Since joining NetGain Technologies in 2013, Robert Patterson has guided the engineering team in the managed I.T. service provider’s Louisville market. During his client interactions, Patterson demonstrated a keen ability to further clients’ business goals through the direct management and execution of best-in-class technology solutions. He recently took on a new role and title that better reflect his increased focus on technology consultation: vCIO.
In Patterson’s new “virtual CIO” position, he oversees management of NetGain’s B2B client base, including primary responsibility for Technology OneSource managed I.T. services clients. Acting as a client advocate, Patterson is tasked with ensuring every client receives services in accordance with the service level agreements (SLAs) in their Technology OneSource agreement.
Patterson recognizes his goal is to understand each client’s business and the role technology plays in achieving their short- and long-term goals, while helping them succeed by spearheading the development of strategies that help the client meet their financial targets.
“I always try my best to remember to be empathetic and aware that most clients are frustrated by technology because they are intimated by it,” said Patterson. They don’t understand how it works, or it is not working and it is impacting their ability to generate revenue.”
Patterson has worked closely with the full operations team during his tenure at NetGain. His familiarity with special projects, field engineering, remote support engineering, and business consultation services are integral to the vCIO role. His experience will guarantee NetGain’s clients a smooth experience of I.T. infrastructure management, support, and strategy.
