Describe Agency and Impact on Community:
The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Each year the agency serves over 1,000 youth, plus volunteers and families.

Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 7 through 16. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. National research has shown that positive relationships between Littles and their Bigs have a direct and measurable impact on children’s lives. By participating in our mentoring programs, youth benefit from positive outcomes in:
• Educational attainment
• Avoidance of risky behaviors
• Increased self confidence
