DanceWorks Opens in New Albany



NEW ALBANY, IN (October 18, 2016) DanceWorks celebrated the grand opening of its new location at 610 Mount Tabor Road, New Albany, IN on Tuesday, October 18th, with a ribbon cutting hosted by One Southern Indiana (1si). The event was attended by representatives from the City of New Albany and 1si Membership Relations Manager, Danny James, 1si Ambassadors, staff and the public.

Owned and directed by Ann Colin, DanceWorks officially opened its new location on August 15, 2016 and offers dance, drama and tumbling to children and adults ages 2 and up. Colin stated they chose to move into the 10,000 sq. ft. facility to accommodate their growth and expansion of their programs. Colin also states the company “is more than just great dancing, we help build a better community for tomorrow with the youth of today through dance steps and life lessons”.

DanceWorks is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Colin chose New Albany as a location due to her hometown roots. DanceWorks currently has 7 employees. They also participate in local charities including Crusade for Children and In Heaven’s Eyes, a Holy Family Catholic Church charity in New Albany, IN.
