KORT Physical Therapy and Home Health Opens in Georgetown



Georgetown, IN. (August 8, 2016) – KORT Physical Therapy celebrated the official opening of their 1050 Copperfield Dr. location in Georgetown, Thursday, July 28th, with a ribbon cutting hosted by One Southern Indiana (1si). The event was attended by Indiana State Representative Ed Clere; Harrison County Chamber President, Lisa Long; 1si President & CEO, Wendy Dant Chesser; 1si Ambassadors, staff and the public.

The Georgetown facility opened its doors on May 16th, 2016, offering physical therapy to the local area. KORT Physical Therapy has been in business for almost 30 years, and provides services to many schools including: Floyd Central High School, Christian Academy High School, Jeffersonville High School, Corydon Central High School, and Indiana University Southeast.

In recent years, KORT has expanded to over 40 different outpatient therapy locations across Indiana and Kentucky. Marketing Director Autumn Link said, “Originating in Kentucky, we saw many patients would have surgeries in Louisville and reside in Indiana. To better serve our patients, we moved to create an even more convenient location.”

KORT is able to support patients of all ages and stage in their lives, which is partially why they were voted the best Home Health service in Floyd County by the News and Tribune Reader’s Choice, Best of Floyd County. Also, KORT is able to offer unique services including: running analysis with alter-g treadmill (anti-gravity), dry needling, POWR (insurance covered weight loss program), hand therapy, and a sports medicine component.

The Georgetown location has two full time employees and is open Monday – Friday from 8 am to 5pm.
