NEW ALBANY, IN.
(June 17, 2016) – The Olivet celebrated its official grand opening at their 37 Bank Street, Suite 11 in New Albany’s downtown historic district, Wednesday, June 15th, with a ribbon cutting hosted by One Southern Indiana (1si). The event was attended by: city of New Albany Representative, Tonya Fischer; State Representative, Ed Clere; 1si Executive Vice President, Matt Hall; 1si Ambassadors, staff, and the public.

The Olivet is the only oil and vinegar retail establishment in Southern Indiana and offers a wide range of specialty and high quality products. Owner Crystal Goebel said, “We have lived in the Floyd County area for over 30 years and have observed a transformation of the historic downtown area in recent years.” Due to the revitalization of the downtown area, The Olivet seeks to bring handmade and unique products to the local community.

By working closely with their small, reputable suppliers, The Olivet offers outstanding and award-winning certified extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The Olivet also offers an extensive supply of whole spices, rubs, spice blends, beautifully crafted chocolates and truffles, and unique gift items. “There is truly something for everyone at The Olivet,” said Goebel. In addition to meeting and exceeding the needs of their customers, The Olivet also gives back to the local community through organizations such as, Lion’s Club, Humane Society, Hope Southern Indiana, local youth sports leagues, and local church organizations.

The Olivet is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm and has a vast range of specialty and gourmet food products for any needs their customers may have. The Olivet is staffed by two full-time employees and one part-time employee, and will be able to provide exceptional service to customers.
