New Big O Tires Location in Jeffersonville Celebrates Grand Opening on June 3 and June 4

Jeffersonville, Indiana (May 31, 2016) — Big O Tires in Jeffersonville is open for business at its new location at 2550 Allison Lane, across from Jeffersonville High School. The newly constructed store will celebrate its official grand opening on Friday, June 3.

At 10 a.m. on June 3, Big O Tires will host a ribbon cutting with Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore, Clark County Commissioner President Jack Coffman, as well as members of One Southern Indiana. In conjunction with the ribbon cutting, Big O Tires will present Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana with a donation.

On Saturday, June 4, the community celebration continues. Big O Tires has partnered with Southern Indiana Animal Rescue. On June 4 only, every customer who brings a bag of Iams dog food to the store will receive a free oil change. Customers who donate another needed item from the rescue’s list – including dog toys, pet beds, blankets, leashes, etc. – will receive a half-priced oil change. The full list of needed items can be found here.

Southern Indiana Animal Rescue will also be on-site with adoptable dogs. In addition, customers can try their hand at tire bowling to win prizes, and order lunch from Pollo – a gourmet chicken food truck.

On Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4, people can sign up at the store for a chance to win a free set of tires or free oil changes for one car for a year.

“We are so proud of this new store,” said Josh McCullough, co-owner. “We can’t wait to celebrate with new and long-time customers, and show them that it’s the same great service and team they trust, but in a brand new location.” The new location will help Big O Tires better serve its customers with a total of eight bays, new and upgraded technology, additional parking spaces and more.

“This business is not just about selling tires. We’re in the customer service business, and treat our customers like neighbors and friends,” added Bill Walker, co-owner. “We know they’ll love our new space, and we can’t wait to welcome them.” Locally owned and operated, Big O Tires Jeffersonville has been a part of the community for nearly 40 years. In 2010, Bill Walker and his partners Tom Walker and Josh McCullough purchased the franchise. Bill and Tom Walker also own the Big O Tires located on State Street in New Albany. Local manager, Dennis Johnson, has been serving customers in Jeffersonville for 35 years.

While current employees have made the move to the new location, management will be hiring to fill additional roles soon. Customers will also benefit from the new location, which features within walking distance numerous restaurants and shops like Zaxby’s, McDonald’s, Meijer, Kohl’s and more. Jeffersonville High School is located across the street.

Big O Tires specializes in new tires, tire service and repair, oil, lube and filters, batteries, brakes, alignment, suspension and front end and owner manual services.
