KORT Physical Therapy and Home Health Opens in New Albany

NEW ALBANY, IN (June 3, 2016) – KORT Physical Therapy and Home Health celebrated its official opening at their 3626 Grant Line Road location in New Albany, Thursday, June 2nd, with a ribbon cutting hosted by One Southern Indiana (1si). The event was attended by officials from the Indiana State Representative Ed Clere, Mayor Jeff Gahan, 1si Ambassadors and staff and the public.

KORT Physical Therapy and Home Health was founded 27 years ago in Kentucky and has now grown to include more than 40 outpatient therapy clinics. KORT is the primary sports medicine provider for many schools in the area including: Christian Academy High School, Corydon Central High School, Floyd Central High Schools, Jeffersonville High School and Indiana University Southeast.

Originating in Kentucky, KORT leaders realized many Indiana patients were required to travel to Louisville to be surgically treated. To better serve these patients, KORT began offering full-service home health through its New Albany clinic at 3626 Grant Line Road. They now have locations in Jeffersonville, New Albany, Georgetown, and Corydon.
KORT is involved in the community and has created a service project with the goal of supporting active service men and women. In preparation for Veteran’s Day, they invite the public to write letters of support which will then be mailed by KORT Physical Therapy and Home Health in time for Veteran’s Day.

KORT Physical Therapy and Home Health is open Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. KORT is able to support patients in all ages and stages of their lives with a staff of three physical therapists, one occupational therapist, two receptionists, and one part-time physical therapy technician.
