Event Description: The Life is Beautiful support group will be hosting its second annual mental health awareness event on Saturday, April 8 at Nachand Fieldhouse. The 2017 theme is “Knowing Yourself.” The event will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. with food provided by Mark’s Feed Store. There will be several speakers present to discuss their own personal journey with mental health and mental health awareness. The Kentucky band, The Usual Suspects, will begin their set at 7:45 p.m., while a silent auction will take place for the duration of the event. Winners will be announced around 9:30 p.m. Local UAW 862 is on board as the entertainment sponsor with Baptist Health Floyd as a print sponsor. The event is still in search of a title sponsor.
