Center for Lay Ministries/Bliss House Celebrates those in Recovery along with volunteers, Debbie and Sherrill Satterfield

The Center for Lay Ministries (CLM)/Bliss House held a Celebration Tea on June 24 to honor the women of the Bliss House who are working hard in their recovery programs.  The tea also served as an opportunity to recognize two of their dedicated volunteers, Debbie and Sherrill Satterfield. The couple was awarded the Heart of Bliss award. They have donated their time to the Bliss House for over two years.  They became involved after a family member was admitted into the Bliss House recovery program.  As Bliss House Committee Members, Debbie and Sherrill do not miss any opportunity to serve the women in recovery.  Sherrill crafted two picnic tables for the women to enjoy outside and the Satterfield’s have purchased many items for the Bliss House and also Bliss Too, the transitional home.  Debbie and a group of friends come to the Bliss House once a month and prepare a meal for the residents.  Tiffany Mullinix, Bliss House Director stated, “This couple is so deserving of this honor. Their heart for the Bliss program is true and comes from a place of being personally touched by the work we do here. We can’t thank them enough.”

The CLM Bliss House is a program for women in Clark County, Indiana, who are in recovery from alcohol/drug addiction.
