First Savings Bank Contributes $100,000 Grant to Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana, Students Across Three Southern Indiana Counties to Benefit

Clarksville, IN (January 8, 2018) – First Savings Bank awarded Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana a $100,000 grant from the First Savings Charitable Foundation. This grant will serve approximately 3,500 Southern Indiana students in Clark, Crawford, Harrison and Washington counties.

The grant will allow those students to actively participate in two capstone programs: Sam Swope JA BizTown® and Chase JA Finance Park®. The experiential learning programs consist of a 16-hour classroom curriculum coupled with a hands-on, interactive simulation in the state-of-the-art learning laboratories in the James W. Robinson Junior Achievement Center for Freedom of Enterprise.

First Savings Charitable Foundation is pleased to have given over $625,383 to Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana since 2009.”

Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana will serve over 69,000 students, in 19 Kentucky and Southern Indiana counties. Some will visit BizTown® and Finance Park® while others will be served in classrooms and through a new program for career exploration, JA Inspire. Volunteers are currently needed for programs.
